What is your day-to-day like working at LOGICFORCE?

After interning with LOGICFORCE in Nashville, I moved back to Oxford, Mississippi to finish my senior year of college at the University of Mississippi. While working remotely from Oxford, I managed server upgrade and consolidation projects as well as six security services projects while helping Kevin Hill, the IT Project Manager, with various tasks. On a typical workday, I start with a touch base call with Kevin where we discuss tasks that I can tackle for the day and I update him on my projects. I usually spend the day completing tasks for my projects, scheduling meetings, responding to emails, making calls to clients, technicians and vendors and checking in with Kevin throughout the day.

My favorite part of interning at LOGICFORCE is the amount of responsibility I’ve been given. This means that my superiors trust my ability to do my job and do it well. It’s also incredibly encouraging that the work I do is appreciated and utilized. In 7 months, I’ve vetted and implemented a new project management tool, successfully completed my own projects, learned best practices of the field and have grown both professionally and personally.

My favorite projects to work on are the Security Services projects. We signed a new partner around the time I started so I was able to get to know our security partner well and was included on the project template building process.

What has been the most valuable thing you learned/experienced while interning at LOGICFORCE?

My experience at LOGICFORCE has taught me how to work with a multitude of different individuals in different roles and be able to adapt to do my best work on each project. I have also learned what it’s like to work in a corporate setting and that every person you meet is a new connection that can be a resource along the way.

How has your role with LOGICFORCE prepared you for your future? The technical world is rapidly growing and changing, and it’s an industry I would like to continue to work in, especially as a project manager. My internship at LOGICFORCE has shown me what I want my career to look like moving forward.
